Whoever said that is right. They started targeting people for ‘sharing’ music and movies. Just go to Google and search “RIAA AND MPAA” there should be a few news articles on it.
There is a tracker URL from this site that’s been around on a few torrents [which have already made it on to other torrent tracking sites] where it sends data out so you can be traced.
Even if you don’t use this site, I suggest using a proxy, and MAC address spoofing.
